It's the birthday, 1891, of the designer of the jeep, ARTHUR HERRINGTON, born in East Suffolk, England. During World War I, he started to work on a new design for military trucks for rough terrain, the smallest of which was the quarter-ton jeep with four-wheel drive that became the prototype for various models built in the 1930s and 1940s.

It's the birthday, 1888, of psychologist http://www.tier.net/esfpub/documents/segal01.htm>MELANIE KLEIN, born in Vienna, known for her studies of child psychology.

It's the birthday today of painter VINCENT VAN GOGH, born 1853 in the Dutch town of Zundert.

It's the birthday in 1820, in Northfolk, England, of the novelist ANNA SEWELL, author of the children's classic Black Beauty, first published in 1877.

Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.®
