Jacqueline Berger
Jacqueline Berger was born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended free writing workshops after college and still begins the process of writing a poem by pouring material into notebooks. In addition to writing, she teaches in the English department at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. Her books include The Mythologies of Danger (1997), Things That Burn (2005), and most recently, The Gift That Arrives Broken (2009).
She said, "I'm one of those writers who writes in order to know her life. Crafting is part of knowing."
